Are Airport responsible for lost items?
-
Salzburg Airport (SZG) provides services to assist with lost items, but their responsibility varies depending on where the item was lost.
🧳 Lost or Damaged Luggage
If your checked baggage is lost or damaged, you should contact your airline's Lost & Found desk located in the arrivals hall immediately upon arrival. Reporting the issue promptly is crucial, as delayed reports may not be accepted. Some airlines, such as British Airways, easyJet, Eurowings, Finnair, Lufthansa, and SAS, offer online forms for reporting lost luggage. If you traveled with a different airline, visit the Lost & Found counter at the airport.
🎒 Personal Items Lost at the Airport or Onboard
For personal items lost within the airport premises or on the plane to Salzburg, contact the Information Center in the departure hall. All found objects are collected here and stored for two weeks. You can reach them at +43 662 8580-7911 or via email at info@salzburg-airport.at.
