New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido, Japan, has designated procedures for handling lost items, with responsibilities divided based on where the item was lost:
Airport Responsibility
Within the Airport Premises: If an item is lost in areas such as shops, restrooms, or common spaces within the terminal buildings, the airport's Lost and Found offices are responsible for managing these items.
Airline-Related Areas: Items lost onboard an aircraft, at check-in counters, or in baggage claim areas fall under the responsibility of the respective airline.
Parking Areas: Lost items in parking areas are managed by Hokkaido Airports Co., Ltd.
Airport Roads: Items lost on airport roads are handled by the Chitose Police Station's Airport Office.
