Are Airport responsible for lost items?

The airport's Lost & Found Office (İGA Lost Property Office) is responsible only for items lost in public areas of the terminal, such as:
Security checkpoints
Duty-free shops
Lounges (if not airline-operated)
Toilets, waiting areas, food courts
Baggage claim halls
Parking areas
👉 They are NOT responsible for:
Items lost onboard aircraft
Items lost at check-in counters or boarding gates operated by airlines
Items lost in airline lounges.
