Are Airport responsible for lost items?
-
Chiang Rai International Airport (CEI) provides a Lost and Found service to assist passengers in recovering items misplaced within the airport premises. However, the airport's responsibility for lost items depends on where the item was lost:
Within the Airport Premises: If you've lost an item in areas such as security checkpoints, waiting lounges, or restrooms, the airport's Lost and Found office will handle the recovery process. You can contact them at +66 53 798 000 or visit their office located in the Departures Hall of the terminal building. Their operating hours are 24 hours daily .
Onboard an Aircraft: If the item was lost during a flight, the responsibility typically falls to the airline. For instance, Thai Lion Air provides assistance for baggage irregularities through their Lost and Found Desk Support.
