Are airlines responsible for lost items?
-
Airlines specifies that they are not liable for any damaged, forgotten, or lost personal items from passengers' carry-on baggage. However, they do provide assistance in attempting to recover such items. If you've forgotten an item on board, it's recommended to inform the Baggage Services Office at the Baggage Claims area as soon as possible. Found items are stored for fifteen (15) days, during which you can arrange to personally pick them up or authorize someone to do so on your behalf.
